Fitter and mechanical fitter FIFO jobs

Fitters on FIFO rosters repair and maintain fixed and mobile plant: crushers, conveyors, pumps, mills and mining equipment. Many ads are for shutdown crews, where the roster and the number of weeks are set by the shutdown, and others are for permanent maintenance crews. Ads often ask for a fitter or mechanical trade qualification, and some add tickets such as working at heights or confined space. Heavy mobile equipment work is on the diesel fitter page. FIFOWorks shows the tickets, roster and fly-out city only when the ad states them, so read the ad before you apply.

This page is the Fitter filter on the jobs board, saved as an address you can share: every open FIFO and DIDO ad whose title fits the role, newest and highest-paying first. The roster, the fly-out city and the licences or tickets are shown on a card only when the ad states them. Where an ad names no fly-out city, the card says the nearest major city is assumed. Where enough ads state a rate, a pay summary above the jobs is worked out only from those stated rates, never from a guess. Pay on each card is the advertiser's own figure, and anything converted from a day rate or a salary is labelled as an estimate. Workers do not pay to search or to apply.
